Default Awakended are TOO overpowered with res ability.

Im not a novice player, ive been through Tyria and Cantha and im using the same character in Elona. Im more then experienced when attacking mobs and high lvl creatures. Ive had to, in order to gain 100% exploration.

But the Awakened are far too over-powered simply because they can res one another.

If it was just a case of taking out one main type to stop them being ressed that would be fine.

But ive tried that and from what I can tell, there isnt one particular type of awakened which res's the rest.

It doesnt matter what kind of awakened they are, they can res one another. Its either that, or they have some natural ability to come back to life.

I'm currently trying to do the quest "Return of the undead king" where you wonder the area to kill 6 groups of awakened.

But im just getting more and more and more frustrated at it.

Ive managed 3 groups so far, but im not stuck between a rock and hard place.

Why? Because there is a hord of about 10-15 awakened baring down on me, and im ressing right next to them each time.

Even if I wasnt ressing next to them, It doesnt matter how many I kill, because within 5 seconds their ressed by someone.

Its actually taking the fun out of the campaign. I dont mind a challenge and I dont mind them being able to res. But when their alll able to do it in a huge group, its beyond playable.

All I suggest is that they only make one type of awakened abe to res the others, or they remove this ability for them to come back to life.

Im not saying their impossible to kill. Their not.

There are times when the Acalytes arent there, and that seems to help. But still they get ressed somehow.

I just ask that the awakened have this res ability reworked.

BTW, i know there are interupt skills which could help, but as ive said... I dont know which ones are ressing them, or how. So what do i interupt.

Monks and Paragons are resurrecting, Renew Life and Signet of Return in that order.

That just proves my entire point though.

They obviously have far too many monks and paragons in one hord. Im actually still trying to do that quest now... 2 hours later.

Its impossible because it doesnt matter how many times I kill a set number in the group, before I die. Once I res and return to where the group is.....


....their all alive again. They need to reduce the number of creatures who can res or use renew-life in the hords.

Because its unfair on us due to DP, if we're not making any impact on the group before we die.

Its also the rate at which they res too.

They must have given priotrity to ressing within the awakened monks and Pars because they res each other within seconds.

"I'm not a novice player" and "Never heard of frozen soil" don't mix y'know?

It's PvE. How hard can it be? Interrupt them at will, your hero's will be glad to abuse their AI!

They have res signets... Its called interrupting skills. How experienced are you exactly?, There is also a water hex that causes signets to cast 100% slower I think.

My suggestion is to bring Frozen Soil so all ressurect spells are stopped for a brief amount of time - Tyrian Ranger Skill.

There aren't usually more than 3 that can rez in a given group. You have three heroes. Put your heroes (with atleast one interrupt) on each person that can rez (using the target feature) and there ya go. Even if you have 2 monks as your hero... leech sig and power drain work awesome on their rezing. Then just take care of the paragon.

There are many things to stop rez signets.

Frozen Soil stops all rez spells.

Rust slows signet cast time by 100%.

Bring a mesmer!!! They don't suck in PvE!!! Ignorance them, they can't even use the signets!!!

Mesmer uses complicate!!! or any other interupt that can interupt signets.

Ranger interupts.

Blackout FTW!!!

Didn't you also complain before because of to much interupts in an area? They are making PvE harder because a lot of people complained it was easy, and it was. Now that they listened and followed peoples suggestions you are complaining it is to hard. It isn't have the game adapt to meet your needs, it is adapt to the game to beat its challenges.

There are so many ways to keep them from resurrecting that it would be absolutely stupid to "nerf" their ability to do so, because that would make the entire battle a quick, mindless slaughter that a five year old could handle in mere moments.

ArenaNet wanted to make PvE harder, and they did. It's doubtful that they are going to change that just because some people can't stop a few AI units from casting resurrection spells.

Locking this to prevent any "zomg lern2gw" ranting that is sure to happen if it is left open.
